General Contracting – Alberta

Take a look at what some of our previous customers said about our work

I initially hired Erich to repaint and redo the back splash tile in my kitchen. Erich did such a great job I then asked him to repaint and re-tile my fireplace. He built a barrier between my living space and the fireplace to not cause dust and debris to spread. He is tidy and very clean. That was such a great job I then had a “honey do list” Erich replaced my hot water tank, redid my 2 bathrooms, one had mold issues and he got rid of the mold and completed a gut of that bathroom. The new bathroom is fantastic.
Erich also repainted my stairs molding, handrails and spindles.
My house looks amazing.
Erich is fast, great quality, estimates are bang on no surprises there. Excellent work. I am saving up for more work to completed soon.

Erich completed many years of work for us at both our personal residence and our rental properties. Erich is a professional…he arrives on time and completes all projects in a timely manner. His work is efficient and very well done. His work is precise and he cleans up after he leaves the job site. I would gladly hire Erich again.

I employed Erich last year to undertake both garage drywalling and basement parging work on our home. I found him to be personable, reliable and dilligent, and the quality of work was excellent as a result. I would definitely recommend him to others if asked.

We spotted Erich’s add in our local community newsletter and subsequently hired him to replace and repaint two exterior doors, paint a double garage door outside and in, paint and refurbish the front door. The contract also included to renovate a badly cracked stucco finish on a retaining wall bordering the driveway. This job required the removal of the old and badly cracked stucco and re-stuccoing. His workmanship shone through. The cost was very fair. But what really stuck out was the little extras undertaken with no cost to us. His cheerful disposition was genuine and should we ever need more work done to our home he would be our man. We would heartedly recommend Erich to anyone who required home repairs. He is a “one man band” who can do wonders with all sorts of repairs.

In April 2021 Erich Kleinod did extensive work on my house. In the early spring, my house shifted and I had a crack on the back wall. He had to replace the walls of three rooms and 2 windows. I wanted windows with blinds between the glass and he found these special windows. He is an amazing builder. He knows how to fix everything including plumbing and electricity. This spring he came back to check on things and did a few more jobs including making me a new screen for my patio door. I would highly recommend him. He knows everything about construction.

Erich was more than willing to help me out with a plumbing emergency early on a Saturday morning, very early. The kitchen faucet, counter top and cabinet all had to be replaced. Erich understood the problem and handled everything from the plumbing to the cabinet work with experienced ease. I recommend Erich, an excellent trust worthy renovator.

Trying to find a decent, reliable and loyal renovator in Calgary is hard to come by in these difficult times! Until I found Erich! What a dynamo! He showed up when he said he was, he gave me great advice, got the work done when he said he was and went way beyond my expectations! He stands by his work and that’s refreshing! In fact I’ll be using his expertise real soon! Thanks Erich! You’re the bomb!

Erich is very thorough and knowledgeable in his profession. He did a beautiful job inside and outside on my house. On the inside, he put in two new bay windows and new walls in family room, dining area, dining room and living room. He painted the ceilings and put in new lights. On the outside he repaired my stone work & added new soffits, fascia and eves troughs and 2 patios. I would highly recommend him.

I hired Erich in 2022 to undertake and complete the rebuilding of my Sunroom, the building of a new deck, sidewalks and retaining wall, installation of stone facing and repair of major water leak for my house in Charleswood. The project took three months to complete and was handled in a thoroughly professional manner at all stages. From demolition to construction, to all finishing aspects Erich showed a mastery of many skills that included carpentry, plumbing, painting, flooring, concrete work to electrical. He kept me abreast of all costs throughout and he planned and executed the work on a daily basis in an exemplary manner. Now a year later everything has stood the test of time. I highly recommend Erich for his work and skills and would employ him without hesitation on any further projects that might come up for me.

We hired EGK contracting to finish our basement in August 2017. Erich quickly provided a free estimate, and promptly sent me a thorough written estimate on the final cost and time needed for completion. When the work was being done, the workspace was kept neat and tidy. When the job was complete, the cost was exactly what was quoted, and we’re very satisfied with work that was done. I’d be happy to hire EGK contracting for future renovation projects.

Was having problems locating a contractor to deal with an urgent problem of exterior water damage and interior and infestation. Erich responded promptly, was incredibly helpful and able to calm my many concerns spending much time researching materials. The work was completed as agreed upon, on time, and on budget. Very well organized and kept in contact on an ongoing basis. He is an experienced and skilled tradesman. In addition he was able to immediately provide proof of insurance, Workers Compensation Coverage and Business License. Thanks Erich.

I hired Erich to install a furnace for me, I was pleased with the job he did and it was done in one day and done right, and he did a great job cleaning up after him self. I hired Erich again to do some tiling in my kitchen and again I was pleased with his work. I will call him in the future again to do work for me, and his quote was very fair in both jobs.

I got Erich to take a look at the work I needed done, we talked about the job and agreed on a price. Everything was repaired to what I wanted and the price was as quoted. Good job. Thanks

In 2018, Erich who is the owner/operator of EGK General COntracting, completed upgrades and a bathroom renovation to my 1960’s bungalow in Charleswood Heights. He did a fantastic job of transforming and updating a dated basement bathroom to a modern one. What impressed me the most about Erich was his commitment and attention to detail in all aspects of the upgrades including tiling floors, painting doors, walls and trim, installing windows and laying new carpets. Erich took pride in the work he completed in my home. I would highly recommend him as a reliable and efficient contractor. It was a pleasure to do business with Erich and I would definitely hire him again for any future renovations needed in my home.
